4 days to Turing tests at The Royal Society London: Schedule of Imitation Games on Public Day, Saturday 7 June 2014

The University of Reading's Turing test event on the 60th anniversary of the untimely death of Alan Turing will be held in 4 days time at The Royal Society London, SW1Y 5AG, on Saturday 7 June 2014.

Judging will take place in City of London Room 1 ground floor in The Royal Society.

Each simultaneous comparison Turing test will last 5 minutes

Each Round will stage 5 tests of 15 minutes in total [extra 10 mins allows 5 minutes for scoring + 5 minutes for ‘hidden pair switch over’]

Each Session will have  5 Rounds, total 25 tests lasting 1 hour 15 minutes


A total of 150 simultaneous comparison Turing tests will be conducted at The Royal Society.

A public cafe  in The Wellcome Trust Hall will allow visitors to follow the conversations relayed on a TV screen.


SCHEDULE OF TURING TESTS ON PUBLIC DAY

Saturday 7 June 2014
9.00am – 10.15am       Session 2 Turing Tests: Rounds 6-10

10.00am OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

10.30am-11.45pm       Session 3 Turing Tests: Rounds 11-15

12.00pm-1.15pm         Session 4 Turing Tests: Rounds 16-20

1.15pm-2.00pm        LUNCH  NO TESTING AT THIS TIME

2.30pm-3.45pm                       Session 5 Turing Tests: Rounds 21-25

4.00pm-5.15pm                       Session 6 Turing Tests: Rounds 26-30



15 minutes non-testing in between Sessions to allow for Judges/hidden pairs change-over


5.15pm – 5.45pm: Raffle prize draw: 5 x £10 book tokens to be won by child visitors

5.30pm – 6.30pm Scores Verification by Professor John Barnden (Birmingham University), and  Dr. Fiorella Battaglia Dr. Federica Lucivero 


6.30pm RESULTS announcement by Professor Kevin Warwick
